The explorAudio H-Clamp gives you the ability to have a static mic position on most stringed instruments, weather for live or studio use.
Using aerospace materials and manufacturing techniques, explorAudio have created a lightweight mount of exceptional quality that is backed with a lifetime warranty. The clamp consists of two rings with embedded nitrile rings to cushion and protect, which are drawn together by a thumbscrew to acquire an extremely tenacious grip on the edge of the instrument where it is the strongest.The boom has a standard 3/8 inch thread for attaching mic clips or shock mounts.
The different models essentially give varying shaft lengths. There is also a `Spirit` model available which has discs of machined aluminum - slightly heavier, it is more appropriate where larger microphones are used.
The models are as follows:
LiveGuitar Light 84mm-116mm. Is intended for most acoustic guitars.
LiveGuitar Plus 52mm-228mm. Supplied with 3 shafts this will cover extra thin acoustic guitars through to large acoustic bass.
LiveGuitar Spirit 84mm-116mm. The aluminum version of LiveGuitar Light.
LiveBass Plus 195mm-258mm & 84mm-144mm. Includes 3 shafts.
LiveMount Mini 43mm-76mm. Suitable for banjoes, mandolins, ukuleles etc
LiveMount Multi 43mm-278mm. Includes 4 shafts to cover the entire range. Ideal for engineers looking for solutions in awkward studio & location environments (for instance, could be attached to furniture, beams or flat pillars).
